How terrible! Some young punk, with more guns than brains, came within one inch of killing our former President, Donald Trump. Remember guns don’t kill people, but young punks with guns can come within one inch of killing one of the most protected men on the planet??? Maybe, the easy availability of guns might be one minor little contributing factor?? You think . . . ?

Most importantly, Trump is safely back in the arms of his family. He is now a combat veteran, and I truly do salute him!

Secondly, I salute the fast, decisive actions of the Secret Service officers, who immediately wrapped their bodies around the former President, to absorb any incoming bullets meant for the President.

Thirdly, while it is a relief to hear that Trump is medically fine, it will be awhile before we know if he is fine emotionally. I’ll never forget an old sergeant, with three tours of Vietnam, saying to me – Until you’ve looked death in the eye, Lieutenant, how do you know you’re even alive? Of course, at age 77, I expect Mr. Trump will be just fine, but I do encourage his family and friends to pay a little closer attention . . .
