Which is worse? Herpes or those Plexaderm TV commercials? WRONG! Neither is as annoying as the never-ending coverage of the Presidential campaign(s)! Perhaps, Presidential campaigns are more important than Plexaderm . . . perhaps . . . but they are also even more annoying. It’s not merely the never-ending commercials but also the breathless news (?) coverage that amplifies it . . . and cheapens it.
I’ve only seen the iconic 1995 movie of Braveheart about four or five times. For many years, I thought having my head severed as I loudly screamed “Freedom” would be a respectable way to leave this life, but now, I’m not so sure.
Is it more important that “freedom” means the right to vote, or does it mean the right of advertisers to have access to your eyeballs?
Without the freedom of the press to sell advertisements, what does freedom of the press really mean?
