As An Example . . .

I love capitalism!  Government can never be as resilient as business.  As an example, with fewer people going to malls, there are many large parking lots being ignored.  Brookfield Properties is turning those unused assets into pop-up drive-in movies with great success.  (Can you believe that many people are too young to remember drive-in movies?)  Social distancing is easy.  You can eat in your car.  There is an app for your phone that provides sound thru your car radio.  They charge $25 per carload.  Walmart has announced they will open 160 of their parking lot locations for drive-in movies in August!

Of course, a service-business like this is much more nimble than some manufacturing business with a complex supply chain, but can you imagine the government – any government – making a similar decision and then implementing it so quickly?
